My grandparents came to town, and we had a Holmes Family Christmas Party, with everyone who lives in Utah. We met at a church, ate some dinner, and played games. We had a great time! I always love seeing my grandparents, and really wish they still lived here. We've been lucky to be able to see them fairly often since they moved.
There were campfires around the gym of the church, and the kids ate their dinner next to the campfire. It was so fun, and was probably my favorite part.
We decorated gingerbread cookies...
We had a race, where the dads had to sit on a sled, and the kids had to pull them across the gym... Our kids didn't get very far!
So Allie and Michael stepped in and helped them out...
Then we played musical chairs...
And had a potato sack race...
Last, we got to meet Santa Claus, or one of his helpers... since we had just met the real Santa last week. He was a great helper for Santa and gave each of the kids a little toy.
We loved visiting and playing with family! It is always good to get together with loved ones, and is my favorite thing about the holiday season.
