First Day at DISNEYLAND!

Disneyland has been a dream of ours for a long time.  We saved for many years to be able to go.  Every time Matt would give Sydney his change from his pockets she would put it in her jar and save it to go to Disneyland.  She had been saving since she was two years old, and had hundreds of dollars.  Sometimes when she would want to buy something at the store, we'd ask her if she wanted to use her money, and she would say, "No, I'm saving it for Disneyland!"  We had finally saved enough and decided that it would make the perfect graduation present to celebrate Matt being done with school!  Suffice it to say, it was a very exciting day for us to walk into Disneyland!

For our first day we did a lot of exploring.  We really enjoyed Tarzan's playground...

Disney's famous Dole Whip...

It's a Small World (espeically seeing Woody and Jessie in there!)

Seeing Goofy!

And Pluto...

And of course Mickey Mouse!  Cooper was so excited to give Mickey a big hug, and to show him his little Mickey Mouse... it was the cutest thing!

And Ruby loved playing Peek-a-boo with Mickey!

Toon Town was definitely a hit.  The kids loved all the cars, trying out pianos, telephones, escaping out of jail, and of course just the fun fun nature of the place.  Minnie wasn't around so we told them we could go back to meet her another day...

And then when we got out onto Main Street, we saw her!  Sydney was so excited!

The line was so short that we waited in in twice, so Allie and Grandma could meet her, and so we could get a picture with the girls' Minnie Mouse ears, which Matt had just bought them.  (Allie came with us to help with the kids, and as a reward for all her years of unpaid babysitting... and my mom and Diane were in California for a couple of days so they stopped by Disneyland to see the kids.)

We went to dinner that night at ESPN Zone, and Sydney drew this picture of her favorite part of the day... SPLASH MOUNTAIN!

It was a tiring and fun day, to say the least!

We caught a little bit of the parade, but didn't get to see the whole thing.  It was fun to see the floats and many of our favorite characters and princesses!
