California Adventure!

For our second day, we went to California Adventure.  I had never been there before.  I remember the last time I went to Disneyland they were just starting to build it, so I was really excited to go there this time!

We started the day off with a breakfast at Ariel's Grotto.  First the kids got to meet Ariel, and then we sat down for breakfast and more princesses came around to every table.  They gave the kids coloring books, crowns to decorate, and stickers.  The food was great!  And we got to meet Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella, Snow White, and Princess Minnie.  Sydney was so excited that she wore her Cinderella dress, because she was most excited to meet her.  All the princesses kept telling Cooper how handsome he was in his CAP uniform, and Ruby LOVED Minnie.  She just kept wanting to touch her nose.  It was so cute and fun.

After the breakfast we walked through Cars Land, which is just amazing.  It seriously feels like you are in the movie and its so authentic and fun.  Cooper spotted Mater and raced over to say hi.  There wasn't even a line!It was so cool to walk around and see Lightning and Mater just driving around and talking.  I couldn't get over it!  We saw them switch places, so we got to see them at the same time which was fun.   We got family pictures with Lightning McQueen later too. We made our way over to the Bug's Life land and went on some rides over there.  Cars Land was by far our favorite place in California Adventure though, and the ride there is awesome!  No wonder it has gotten so much hype!

We caught the parade in the afternoon, which was fun, but I did like the Disneyland parade better.  I did take many opportunities to take pictures of the "I'm watching you, always watching..." monster to send to Brett.  It's always been one of our favorite quotes...

Ruby slept in the baby carrier a lot, because that was easier than the stroller, since so many places you have to park the stroller.  She would always hold onto my hair, so we snapped a picture of her tiny hand holding my hair...

We stopped at the Giradelli store and got some ice cream.  It was the perfect spot to take a break and relax, and was one of my favorite parts of the day.  Cooper made these sea animals from the wax that was around his cheese and was so proud of them.

Poor Lightning had the sun in his eyes... CA CHOW!

While everyone was going on Soaring California, Ruby and I found Minnie Mouse ready to take off in her airplane.  Ruby especially loved meeting this Minnie...

We went in this room and got to meet Crush from Finding Nemo.  It was really cool, he answered questions that kids in the room had and talked to us all!

We ended the day by watching World of Color.  It was seriously amazing.  I loved the show!  We got great seats, and everyone loved watching it.

This is one of my favorite pictures from the whole trip.  Our hotel was a mile away from Disneyland, and we walked to and from the hotel every day.  Taking a shuttle was just too hard because we had to fold all the strollers up, and figure out how to hold kids, and all the stuff inside the strollers.  So, we would put Cooper and Ruby in one stroller, and Sydney in the other and walk all the way back to the hotel.  We sure got a lot of steps in!
