Matt has been wanting to pull this prank on his cousins for a long time! They do not step on handicapped signs in parking stalls, because it is unlucky. So Matt came up with this idea that we would paint a huge handicapped sign covering their front porch, and their driveway, so they wouldn't be able to get out of their house. So the other night when we were at Walmart, Matt saw this blue spray-sidewalk-chalk, and bought it. He was so anxious to get the job done, we headed straight to the Walch's house to do it- mind you it was only 9:00. So here we are painting this on their front porch, and cars are driving by, and Sydney is in the car with the window rolled down, yelling, "what are you doing?" to us. We ran out of chalk and ended up painting it on with our hands, because the sprayer wasn't working, but this is what we ended up with- it looked better after it dried all the way...
One little handicapped sign on their porch. No where near the idea we had in mind. But pranks don't seem to work as well when you have two babies with you and it's 9:00 at night. After we finished, we got the kids out of their car seats, and Matt rang the doorbell, and we hid in the bushes. Sydney wasn't very quiet, and Cadie pulled up in the driveway at the same time, so of course that part didn't work out very well either, not to mention that we left our car parked right in front of their house. But it was the idea that counts! It actually was a lot of fun. I don't think I've giggled that much in a long time. It probably would have been a sight to see me and Matt up on their porch, painting this, and giggling every time a car drove by. Oh to be "young" again! Ha ha!
